Keyboard shortcuts
Capture
- Print Screen: capture (or Ctrl+Alt+S when another program owns Print Screen)
- Alt while dragging: ignore window borders
Tools
- M / Shift+M: rectangle and ellipse selection; L: lasso; W: magic wand
- U: shape; Shift+U: shape drawer
- Q: callout
- P: pen
- B: brush; [ and ]: brush size
- K: blur
- G: grab text
- C: crop and canvas size
- H: view (pan and zoom)
Editing
- Ctrl+Z / Ctrl+Y: undo and redo
- Ctrl+T: free transform
- Ctrl+G / Ctrl+Shift+G: group and ungroup layers
- Ctrl+D: deselect; Ctrl+Shift+I: invert the selection
- X: swap colors; D: reset colors
- F2: rename the selected layer; Delete: delete it
- Ctrl+Shift+C: copy the finished image
- Ctrl+S: save as (or save, for a file you are editing in place)
Video and sound
- Space: play and pause
- Left / Right: step one frame; Home / End: go to the start or end
- Ctrl+B: cut at the playhead
- Shift+Z: fit the timeline
Library and PDFs
- F5: refresh the library
- Ctrl+F: filter the library, or find words in a PDF
- Ctrl+P: print a PDF or image
- Ctrl+W: close a file you are editing in place
