Overview

SpiceLogic Inc. ("we," "us," or "our") respects your privacy and is committed to protecting your personal data. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard information when you visit our website or use our software products, including AHP Software, Decision Tree Pro, and Rational Will.

Information We Collect

Website

When you visit our website, we collect:

  • Analytics Data: We use Google Analytics to understand how visitors interact with our website. This includes anonymized data such as pages visited, time spent on pages, browser type, device type, approximate geographic location (country/region level), and referral sources. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect this information. You can opt out of Google Analytics by installing the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on.
  • Account Information: If you create an account, purchase software, or submit a support request, we collect information you provide such as your name, email address, and organization name.

Desktop Software

Our desktop software applications may collect the following data, based on your preferences:

  • Update Checks: Our software periodically checks for new versions. This transmits only basic information needed to determine if an update is available (software version, license status). You can disable automatic update checks in the software settings.
  • Crash Reports (Opt-In): If the software crashes, you may choose to send a crash report to help us improve the software. Crash reports include technical information about the error, usage logs leading up to the crash, and your license key (so we can follow up if needed). Crash reporting is entirely opt-in—data is only sent if you explicitly click the "Report Crash" button. You can also choose to include your project file to help us reproduce the issue; this is optional and clearly indicated at the time of reporting.
  • Feedback and Questions: When you use the "Submit Feedback" or "Ask a Question" features in our software, we collect the content you submit along with technical information to help us assist you effectively. This includes: your license key (to identify your license and respond appropriately), software version, operating system, and basic machine configuration (e.g., screen resolution, system locale). This technical data helps us reproduce issues and provide better support. We do not collect personal files or project content through this feature.

Important: Our telemetry does not collect any content you enter into your projects. Your decision models, criteria, alternatives, and analysis data remain entirely private unless you explicitly choose to share them when reporting a crash.

How We Use Your Information

We use collected information to:

  • Process purchases and deliver software licenses
  • Provide customer support and respond to inquiries
  • Improve our software by fixing bugs and understanding feature usage
  • Analyze website traffic to improve content and user experience
  • Send important notifications about your license or software updates (if applicable)

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal information to third parties.

Data Security

  • Our entire website uses SSL/TLS encryption
  • We never store credit card numbers on our servers—all payments are processed securely through PayPal
  • Passwords are stored using industry-standard cryptographic hashing; no employee can view your plain-text password
  • Access to customer data is restricted to authorized personnel only

Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:
