Bug fixes 18
- Dark toolbar icons retain pale light-theme backplates
- Trial notice and expired-license panel force Light mode in a Dark editor
- Preserve the latest overlapping BodyHtml and DocumentHtml binding request
- Correct local image file verification on Apple silicon macOS
- Apply bold and italic keyboard shortcuts in native macOS editing
- Word paste joins words across inline font changes
- Printing body-only HTML Source loses document styles and page breaks
- Outlook paste loses standard table borders and cell spacing
- Stalled HTTPS image bodies can leave the image dialog busy indefinitely
- Typing during optional image display refresh raises a stale document error
- Links clicked in preview opened nowhere unless the host handled LinkClicked, and Ctrl+Click on a link did nothing while editing
- The NuGet package showed the SpiceLogic company mark instead of the Avalonia HTML Editor product box
- After an action was rebound or disabled, its built-in browser shortcut still worked (for example Ctrl+B still bolded after Bold moved to Ctrl+Shift+B)
- A new Avalonia editor had no frame, so it read as an open canvas instead of matching the WPF and WinForms editors
- English trial countdown uses plural grammar when one day remains
- Match Dark Source syntax colors and surface to the WPF editor
- Native dialog placeholder hints are faint in Light and Dark themes
- Native and nested dialogs can hide behind an externally promoted topmost host
Interfaces 2
- The editor and its XAML option types now belong to Avalonia's default XML namespace: a window uses <AvaloniaHtmlEditor x:Name="Editor" /> and <UserOption /> with no xmlns prefix, as with Avalonia's own DataGrid package. Existing XAML that declares xmlns:editor (clr-namespace or using:) keeps working unchanged.
- New public property AvaloniaHtmlEditor.WindowsUserDataFolder (string, nullable). Sets the directory the Windows browser (WebView2) keeps its data in, for applications whose per-user local application data location is not the right one; must be an absolute path (a relative path throws ArgumentException) and is read before each browser start. Null keeps the default under the current user's local application data. Ignored on macOS and Linux, where browser data is ephemeral. With it, the editor now checks before starting the browser that the data directory exists or can be created and is writable; an unusable directory is reported through ErrorOccurred and the faulted Ready task as a startup prerequisite failure (PlatformNotSupportedException with the storage reason as the inner exception), instead of the browser's own error dialog. Additive: existing applications need no change.
